How to use
- 1Add the PDF file.
- 2Enter the page ranges to extract, e.g. 1-3,5,8-, or choose to split every page.
- 3Click split.
- 4Download the new PDF, or the single-page files one after another.
How page ranges work
Separate ranges with commas. “1-3” takes pages 1 to 3, “5” takes page 5 only, and an open range such as “8-” takes page 8 through to the last page. So “1-3,5,8-” on a 10-page file extracts pages 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 9 and 10 into one new PDF, in that order.
Splitting into single pages
In “every page” mode each page becomes its own PDF file, and the files are downloaded one after another. Your browser may ask once whether this site may download multiple files — allow it, otherwise only the first file will be saved.
Your file stays on your device
Splitting is done locally with the open-source pdf-lib library, loaded only when you add a file. Nothing is uploaded, so you can safely extract pages from payslips, contracts or medical records.
Frequently asked questions
How do I extract one page from a PDF?
Enter just that page number, e.g. 4, and download the result.
Why did only one file download in “every page” mode?
Your browser blocked multiple downloads. Allow multiple downloads for this site and run the split again.
Is the quality reduced?
No. Pages are copied as they are, without re-compressing text or images.
Can I split a password-protected PDF?
No. Remove the password in your PDF reader first.
