QR Code Generator

Create a QR code for a link, WiFi network, contact card or message, style it and download it as PNG or SVG.

Encoded content

This tool runs entirely in your browser; your data is never sent to a server.

How to use

  1. 1Choose the type: URL, text, WiFi, vCard, email, phone, SMS or WhatsApp.
  2. 2Fill in the details.
  3. 3Adjust colours, size, margin and error correction, and add a logo if you like.
  4. 4Download the code as PNG or SVG.

Static QR codes that never expire

The QR codes made here are static: the content (your link, WiFi details or contact card) is encoded directly in the pattern. There is no redirect service in between, so the code works forever, needs no account and cannot be switched off. The flip side is that you cannot change the destination later — if a URL might change, point the code at a page you control. The code is generated in your browser.

WiFi, vCard and WhatsApp codes

A WiFi code lets guests join your network by scanning instead of typing the password — useful for cafés, offices and holiday lets. A vCard code saves your name, phone, email and company straight to the scanner’s contacts, ideal for business cards. Email, SMS, phone and WhatsApp codes open a pre-filled message or call, which works well on posters and packaging.

Error correction, logos and printing

Error correction lets a code stay readable when part of it is damaged or covered: level L restores about 7%, M 15%, Q 25% and H 30%. If you add a centre logo, choose a high level (Q or H). Keep strong contrast — a dark code on a light background — and leave the quiet zone (margin) around it. For print, download SVG so it stays sharp at any size; as a rule of thumb, print the code at least 2 × 2 cm and larger for scanning from a distance.

Frequently asked questions

Do these QR codes expire?

No. They are static codes with the content built in, so they keep working as long as the content (e.g. your website) exists.

Can I edit a QR code after printing?

No. Static codes cannot be changed. Link to a page you control if the destination may change.

PNG or SVG?

PNG for websites, documents and messages; SVG for print and design software, since it scales without losing quality.

Why does my QR code with a logo not scan?

The logo covers too much of the pattern. Use error correction H, a smaller logo and strong colour contrast.
